Yes, I am alive. Just busy working and going to school.

Your Animal is the Stag
You are a proud, independent person. You take care of yourself and are very attractive.
You keep a bit of a distance from the world, but you still understand it well.

You are both spiritual and intuitive. You are sensitive to all of the creatures around you.
You enjoy travel, especially when it involves a long journey. You especially love traveling outdoors.

Inane Jounal Time

Well, I never went to Kentucky. Job fell through. So now I am working at the Ypsi Food Co-op and at Panera Bread. I am also going to school full-time. So my schedule is a bit full right now. Oh, my car died about 2 weeks ago. Sad. The undercarriage rusted though so that the engine was being held in by the steering column. And my mechanic said he has never seen that on a Buick, ever. Nice. But luckily we have a million cars and my parents have offered to help me buy a "new" car. Which will be nice. But only if I do well this semester. So I am gonna go back to writing this damned allegorical paper on Battlestar Galactica. Oh hellz yeah. Later.

You Should Follow Hinduism

You find the idea of many Gods and many spiritual paths attractive.

Religion is a lifelong, personal journey for you, and you don't deal with dogma or rules well.

You see spirituality as a union of intuition and reason. No one has all the answers.

You spend a good amount of your time meditating, doing good deeds, or improving your karma.

What Your Bed Says About You

Outward appearances aren't important to you at all. You think that the over emphasis on looks to be shallow.

You are an organized and disciplined person. You do the right thing because you want to, not because people expect you to.

You are not very high maintenance in general, but you are high maintenance about a few things.

In relationships, you tend to kick back and let the other person be in charge.

You tend to be a down to earth, practical person. You think in terms of what is actual.

You are a traveler. You are comfortable anywhere, and you rarely feel homesick.

Here's the deal. I didn't and won't being moving to Kentucky. Job fell through, thanks so much UPS. Still here in MI, but just didn't feel (and still don't) like talking about it. So there. BTW, batman rules.

You Are Mustard

Your personality is strong and distinctive. You are beyond quirky.

You can stand alone in the world well. You are a strong individual.

You sometimes work well with others, as long as there aren't any other strong personalities involved.

Your taste in food tends to be simple yet high quality.

You can really get into a perfectly prepared sandwich or simple fresh salad.

You get along best with ketchup and barbeque sauce personalities. Get you with a salsa personality, and things might become downright nasty!

I have been putting this off for way too long. Le sigh... Here we go.

I am moving to La Grange, KY on the 6th of July. Why Kentucky you say? Many reasons. I visited during the Kentucky Derby, and loved it. Free rent and food. A job offer and a possible job at UPS is Louisville. The overwhelming need to get the hell out of this place. A new start. I have been having this feeling like I needed to move, do something for a while now, so here I go. Maybe now that feeling will back off for a while. Plus, a try at a new school again. University of Louisville or Sullivan University. Whatever. We'll see. But I will start getting stickers for every school I attend and put them on my car. I'm now at 3, let's see how many I can collect.

Also, finally completed my classes at EMU for winter semester. Got a 4.0 in Psych 101 (So hard... not) and a 2.0 in my intro to corrections class. Not bad I say for being a horrid student who doesn't see the point.

Here's some good news. It seems I am illness free now, and have been for like a whole month or so. Hurray for me! Because seriously, if I could not have a cold again for like 4 months I would be so grateful.

Still no romantic entanglements. I know, social hermit. But at least I'm consistent. :)

Oh, and I've fallen hard for Doctor Who and Torchwood. Mostly because I saw Ianto played by Gareth David-Lloyd. Gorgeous! Some more fandoms to go crazy with until I get bored and move onto the next. I am such a whore. Anyways, as I obsess over some Torchwood slash fanfic I am gonna avoid thinking about all the shit I need to do before the move. Which frightens me into hiding in a hole that I have made in my head just for things like this. And practically everything else too. I'm working on my emotional repression and retardation thing, but a bit at a time. At least I'm aware of it, right?

Well, that seems enough for now. Till later. Some quizzies to play with.

What Your Taste in Music Says About You

Your musical tastes are energetic and rhythmic.

You are full of energy and can be quite talkative.

You are forward thinking and open minded.

You despise conservatism of any sort.

You are intense, detail oriented, and motivated.

You are an ambitious person, though your ambition is anything but conventional.

You Are A Lily

You are a nurturer and all around natural therapist.

People see you as their rock. And they are able to depend on you.

You are a soothing influence. You can make people feel better with a few words.

Your caring has more of an impact than even you realize.

Sick is Nasty

So bronchitis/pneumonia sucks a big one. If you can stand the fever, chills, constant coughing, sneezing, and wishing you were born without a throat, then hey, ya get a bunch of time off work because your doctor said "Have you been sleeping? Yeah, I didn't think so. Sleep." So I slept. A lot. Like 16 hours. Oh man it felt really good too. The Doctor prescribed me some antibiotics, and then she gave me some serious cough medicine. Like the Robitussin with codeine so I could sleep without waking up coughing all night. Which is why she thinks I got so bad in the first place. Best Doctor Ever. And that time off work, yeah, 4 days. Said she didn't want me to ruin all that healing by going back too soon. Or getting my coworkers sick. But I am on the mend, with a fever of only 101.1 last night. Maybe tonight I won't break 100. Later, and hope all of you are well.

You Are a Lemon

You have a very distinct personality. And if you're not being sweet, you're a little hard to take.
You're a bit overpowering, especially in one on one situations.

And while you are very dominant, sometimes your power is needed and appreciated.
You can liven up a dull situation, and you definitely bring a fresh outlook.

You are a bit of an acquired taste, and you tend to grow on people over time.
People feel refreshed and rejuvenated after spending time with you.

Heh... Monty Python... Yay.

Anyways, I am finally going back to school. Yay! At Eastern Michigan. Boo. Starts up the 7th of January. I guess we will see if I can get my shit together and actually GO to class.

On to my pledges/plans (For you Dana):

1. Be more outgoing. Say hello to complete strangers ('cept the scary ones), have fun in any situation, etc. Been working on that one already but hey, it never hurts to reiterate.

2. Work on my issues. Heh.

3. Finish all the books I have but haven't read yet before I buy a new one. Seriously like 20 books or more. Whatever the number, it's a lot.

4. Take better care of myself. Diet, exercise, appearance are all in here.

5. Try lots of new things. Ties into number 1.

6. Be more aggressive on what I want and not so much what other people want.

7. Ask for help more and/or accept it when it's offered. Because I never do.

8. Save more money.

9. Learn to cook. Also, learn to make fancy desserts.

10. Be more self-aware. It's really annoying to be angry, depressed, whatever and not know why. Repression is an ugly bitch.

So I hope everyone had a good 2007, so let's *Insert cheesy, upbeat line*!!!

sad but not

Here's the sad part. I didn't get the Dispatch job. Psych was my downfall, I "didn't fit the profile of a dispatcher." Le sigh... I found this out on the 6th of July but I was in too much of a funk to write about it till last week, then it was just the lazy gene kicking in. Still volunteering and all, mostly because I like it and it would look good later. Oh well, maybe I'll try the Sheriff's for dispatch.

Now the not sad part, I have some fun stuff to look forward to. A Bridal shower this Sunday and then a Wedding in September. Now all I have to do is find a date for the wedding and I'll be set.

Probably forgetting a lot, oh well. Later.

You Should Rule Mercury

Close to sun, Mercury has very long days - and is rarely visible to the rest of the solar system.

You are perfect to rule Mercury, because you live for the present - and can truly enjoy a day that goes on forever.
Like Mercury, you are quick and elusive. Your wit is outstanding, and you can win any verbal sparring match.

Some people see you as superficial, but in truth, you just play many roles and have many interests.
A great manipulator, you usually get what you want from people. And they're happy to give it to you.

Holy Hell

So, I passed background check for the Dispatch position at the Ypsilanti Police Dept. Which feels so good, not that I had any reason to doubt but still. Now I have my Psych exam on Wednesday, all day. And Monday I have some papers to pick up from the HR department on Monday that tell me all about that. So yeah... Squeee!!!

And Tomorrow I am going to Cedar Point for the first time since High School. Hellz Yeah!

You Are Psyche!

Eternally in search of purpose and insight.
You're curious and creative with a total sense of wonder.
Totally empathetic, you pick up on other's moods easily.
Just be sure to pamper yourself as well!

A lot has happened since my last entry. I graduated from my CPA thingy (Citizens' Police Academy) and then went on a 12 hour ride-along. Which kicked ass. I am now CPR certified too. And I start classes in 2 weeks at WCC. Spanish for the 1st half and Constitutional Law, or something, for the second half. Thinking I gotta find another job, and I am gonna see what I have to do to become a dispatcher for the YPD, that would be cool since they will pay for you to go to the police academy so yeah. Wow, look at all those run-on sentences. Anyways, prolly gonna be up at State on Saturday ONLY this weekend. Gotta get my dress and see a few people. So good luck on your finals everyone. Later.

You Are a Chocolate Mocha and Orange Cheesecake

Enthusiastic and intense, there's so much you love in the world... it's hard to do it all.
You are good at getting things to mix - friends, flavors, hobbies. You're the master of fusion!

Not much has happened... 'Cept I got to ride in a police car on Friday! Hell yeah! A 3 hour ride-along, although not much happened I'm glad, kinda proves what I thought all along about police work, a whole lotta waiting around for something to happen. And of course calling in like 20 plates in 3 hours, but whatever. I did that with the Citizens' Police Academy thingy I'm doing, lots of fun. Next class is crime scene simulation. I get to use fingerprint dust. Squeeee!!!

Trying to transfer to Eastern but MSU is being a bitch as usual. Can't get my transcript until I pay everything off. Bitches... But hopefully I will be starting at EMU in the Fall.

And I will be heading up to State this weekend. Gonna be getting my dress for Megan's wedding. I know... dress. So hit me up if you wanna see me. Later.

You Are Fozzie Bear

"Wocka! Wocka!"
You're the life of the party, and you love making people crack up.
If only your routine didn't always bomb!
You may find more groans than laughs, but always keep the jokes coming.
